Dr Michels completed an ACGME accredited fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine, and is double board certified in both Interventional Pain Management and Radiology. He has been named one of the "Best Doctors in Dallas" by D Magazine, every year since 2019. Dr. Michels has been awarded a Texas Super Doctor every year since 2016. He has also won the Vitals "Compassionate Doctor", "Patient's Choice" and "On Time Doctor" Awards.
